With our partnership with Lyzeum Number 4 in Nowograd-Wolhynsk (Northwestern Ukraine) we want to overcome boundaries and connect young people in Europe with other young people in countries that had been divided by the iron fence until recently.
The student exchange takes place in the tenth academic year. The students spend ten interesting and multi-faceted days of excursions and project work in each country, with the Ukrainians coming to Germany in October and the Germans returning the visit in spring. The young Ukrainians experience a rare opportunity to improve their German and gain knowledge about German traditions and institutions while communicating with native speakers. Our students gain insights into eastern European cultures and customs. The open-mindedness and hospitality of both Ukrainian and German hosts have frequently provided an unforgettable experience for the participating students.
