MINT School

The Steigerwald-Landschulheim has been a MINT-friendly school since 2014. Only schools with a distinct focus on the MINT subjects (Mathematics, Information Technology, Natural Sciences, Engineering) are awarded this title. These schools offer additional courses far beyond the average requirements of the curriculum. With high-quality equipment and facilities, optional courses, competitions and project work, gifted students are intensely supported and find a place here to realize their full potential.

Competitions in Natural Sciences

At our school students have the opportunity to take part in many competitions in the field of natural sciences. Examples are Jugend forscht, which encourages and supports talented achievers in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), Experimente antworten, which wants to spark the students‘ interest in experimenting, Känguru, a competition in maths, MOBy, the Maths Olympics in Bavaria and IPhO, the International Physics Olympiad. Additionally, there are more occasions where students can put their skills to the test in this field.
